Last minute invite - Ottawa river - leaving around 9:30 hrs

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

hope you had better luck than I did.........

I went on the jock in my little 14footer with 9.9hp engine and did many hours of fishing with not even a rock bass to show for it!

I've never gone out and not caught a fish in my life.....This only happens when trout fishing around Ottawa.............

It's like all the fish in the Jock are dead or something........

I threw everything I had........but there was no bites, no nothing!!!

Good luck!

Hope you boat a monster bass/pike/Muskie to finish off the open water season!!!!!!!!

My luck was no better:

- 4 or 5 perch, longest one was approximately 5 inches
- 1 pike, less than 6 inches...

Spoke to 2 other groups at the ramp, they did not have much more luck.

PikerSniper:

I'm don't think I'll be going back tomorrow. Sorry...

Wow It seems that everyone is having the same action around here.
the guy I talked to at the launch at petrie was saying that the pike are hiding in 2-3 feet of water.
Dad and I headed north west of the island and Hit where that river comees out from quebec. HAt one good Hit with a 10 inch plastic jerk fish a Fin-s if anyone is familliar with them. The gold color works like mad ( have to have a trebble trailer in the tail tho) wich i lost in gan last week end and have not replaced. And dad had one on for ten seconds with a spinnerbait but that was all we had to show for three hours on the water. I gotta find em before we pull the boat out or il be dissapointed like crazy,
Did get to try out the new Abu Ambasadeur 5600. Super nice reel but my baitcaster rod sucks oars. anyways guys hope to see you out next week endd. Its gonna be the last till next spring.
