I don't want to stir up anything but this was a FAT OLD GIRL.

Like I said in previous posts, she was blind in one eye and had two huge lamprey on her.

Other than make pretty good deep runs she didn't fight as good as the 49 I'd got a few weeks before.

Maybe she was pushing 45 lbs?

I didn't post it originally because I thought the first one better. I could barely hold it up at this point, the sun was going down, and I had to lift her like I was going to bench press it to hold it.

Any, hope you like the post.

A fish of the season for sure and a great memory.

That is a beauty fish, impressive to say the least.

Not as impressive as the brawl on here last night though....

But as far as fish go, I'd love to catch one that big some day.

She needs to visit Weight Watchers...!

Seriously, that fish has a rotund girth. Fish of a season? If I caught that at this point of my fishing career, it would be the fish of a lifetime.

Gotta remember to tell your photographer, Fordson: "never shoot into the sun"...it's like peeing into the wind. A definite NO NO.

My wife has a great camera that is off limits to me. I plan on buying one this winter while the rods are in hibernation. The sun thing is very true.

But I was pretty out of my mind when these shots were being set up.

One thing was worrying about not killing her. She was dinasaur age!

I mean she was wearing depends undergarments when I pulled her out of the water.

Good luck this Weekend Placide!

I'm hoping to try again early next week.

At what water temp do you guys start trolling exclusively? All 4 of mine were casting fish.

I don't troll usually.

Fordson, if I caught that fish, I would be the one in need of Depends undergarment protectors! (But then, Placide, I would be able to pee into any headwind without incident.) 8)

Sorry Wolfe, without K-Pin on here lately someone had to jump all over that comment.

As for trolling, I have no idea Fordson. This is my first year as a hard core Muskie Fisherman. All the articles I have read say keep casting as long as your hands can handle the cold.

Man it was entertaining to see the reaction to your fish Fordson..

I'd say it's a 40 pound range fish....VERY nice!

What did she hit?..I can't remember if you mentioned that before...

It's a great fish. I would go with "pushing 45".
