For my birthday last year, my wife bought me "Fumbling with a Fly Rod" by Ian Colin James. It's a great read, lots of funny stories that you can relate with and some good tips on fishing. It's likely the best fishing book I have read, the Gilly would be up there.

What's yours?

"Fishing With My Old Guy" by Paul Quarrington...a really well written & funny story of the search for a world record speckled trout in northern Quebec.

I read that last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. It`s a great look at life in Algonquin Park and The Ottawa Valley during the 1940's and 50's.
