I'm heading down to BoQ again on Saturday, and have a spare seat available. Looking to share some expenses. PM if interested.
It's early in the year yet, so it will be time spent searching and fishing.
Check the previous thread BoQ Sat 20 Sept and you'll see there are a few boats heading down for the day.

Terry I am pretty sure Eric and I will be going Sat. What time are you guys heading down? It will be good to have a group of boats out in several different locations. I am looking for a third person to go with us.

Here is a rough plan.
Fish where Sheldon suggests, that way we can get a lot of water covered.
On the water for 7:00, in my case leave home at 4:30 - 5:00.
Check the weather on the lake before leaving
http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.p ... t=E&tz=STN
If low wind and wave activity, I'm ok to go on the Lake.
Suggested launches, Collins Bay (for Lake O east Amhurst), Bath (for Lake O west Amhurst and Reach), Glenora or Picton for in the Bay.
Off the water for 5:00PM, meet up for supper?? Then head home.
Sheldon, over to you, either post here or fire off PMs to Andy, Don, Billy Bones and me as to where you suggest we position ourselves and we'll pool info at the end of the day.
Poor weather plan to be decided.

At least it wont be freezing and if it is cloudy, rainy and windy, well sounds like eye weather to me.
I prefer to launch at Picton and I dont know if I will make the run into the lake ( especially if the weather is rough) but every where else is no prob.
Now I just have to find a third person.

well 25K of wind from the NNW would be straight across the reach...at least its not straight DOWN the reach

25k is much better than the 80k winds we were in last year.

Hi guys, good luck this weekend. I cant wait till my first trip as well. I've got the itch. Im sure most of you already know and or own this, but responding to a question about snapweights and depths- the "Precision Trolling" book is a must have for open water trolling. They now have the pro edition available and have dive curves for most lures, mono and fireline, as well as formulas for snap weights and other helpful tidbits. Well worth the money for putting baits exactly where you want them and establishing consitent patterns.
Wish I could go this weekend. Good luck and cant wait to see the report.

just to let everyone know: the wind forecast has dropped significantly
now says 5 to 10km winds (sounds perfect) wind from the NE which should make close in Lake O accessible
