Got out with a buddy to a nice fall spot ... same bait, same result... only better. Gotta love it when a pattern comes together.

Looks like a quality outing.
I couldn't get a bite this morning, looks like I should have hit the Ottawa.
Very healthy looking buckets on the feed!

Chris, I was reading on another thread you have always had a tuff time finding those migrate bass. Good on you for putting a lickin' down and boating a few beauty's. Going after mighty pike, bass and walleye this weekend. They always elude me this time of the year as well.

Bass Question

I have a question for bass experts out there.

If you look at these pictures you will see a serious indent in the forhead of this bass. All the big bass caught this weekend had this feature.

I have never noticed it in smaller fish before.

Is this normal? What is this thing? Just curious

thats caused by them swimming around and hitting their head inside livewells.

probably the ones that try to jump out of the water to spit the lures during ice fishing.

That's where the brains are supposed to be. If they didnt have that dent they would have never been caught
