Fatty on the Ottawa!
Fatty on the Ottawa!
Last friday was a good day for me, I was out on the upper O trolling through some favourite spots with a couple of buddies and SLAM!
I was looking at something and did'nt see the fish surface and head shake but the buddies said "oh that looked like a nice one" and I could tell from the peeling drag that it was big.
When I was fighting it and we all saw it go by the boat I said "HOLY CRAP ITS A 40 POUND FISH BOYS!" and Paul said "ITS A 55 INCHER" I got really excited, It looked really big.
Well it was'nt quite as big as we thought but still the nicest one I have caught in a few years. I was shaking and probably a bit pale and thoroughly loving it anyway

The fish took a walleye coloured beleiver trolled at 4.5mph over a weedy shoal with deep water nearby
Oh ya It was my first time using a Beckman musky net and it was awesome, and the fish thought so to, it was released completely unblemished, those Beckmans are the way to go
