This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Rideau Falls Report !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Bass Addict »

The plan was to head to Victoria Island ,, but when we got near there
Joco must have thrown a curve ball at us by opening the damn

So we headed back to the falls , couple of scenery pics on the way

When we get there ,, We discover somebody had beat us to it

Minutes after dropping a line '' Bang '' first ever drum............

Ended the night with a total of 1/2 dozen or so drums :? :? :o :o

While 24/7 and F-F were raking in the mudpouts and catsfish the eyes
seem to be following me

Bass-

I don't usually fish downtown, and I'm not as 'high class' as you to own a boat...

Even so, I would not get in one, and head to the mouth of the river just to prove to some guy on the internet...that Rideau indeed has fish ...

I went south of the Rideau (far away from downtown) for a reason.. knowing that the river flows north and empties into the Ottawa river
I doubt you'd eat the fish you showed me in the picture..

The point is that all the 'wonderfull' locations..fishing hotspots on the Rideau are not that great. None of the people I met there had cought any fish. Why don't you leave your boat at home..and go fish at the Burrits Rapids (that wonderfull place everyone here talks about)...and show us the many fish you catch there larger then the size of my middle finger ..
