This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Cant say I have fished the area. You may want to consider the extra drive and go to Port Hope. Mos folks have been doing well there for bows and salmon.

Tricky,

I am on a salmon charter out of Port Hope on the 12th of August.
It`s my treat to my father for his 64th B-day and also my wedding anniversary present for my wife.

I fished out of Picton in 2006. Caught a nice 16lber. I can`t post pics on this site though for some reason!

Not to make excuses but we fished the day after a torrential storm and it really shut it down. Most boats had only 1 or 2 fish, but we marked a ton!

Still had fun though!

Here is a link to another fishing site that concentrates more in that neck of the woods.

From all reports I have had/ talking to a few local fisherman, it appears that the Chinooks have not yet arrived in big numbers. Rainbows and browns are being taken as well as the odd Chinook - just not too many or too big. I'll bet the Last week of July/1st week of Aug will be prime time.

Good luck.
