TRIP 2
Hit the Rideau June 10...We just missed the storm....It was windy right until around 630pm, but after that it wasn't topo bad out there. We only fished for around 3 hours or so, managed 1 pike, a LM and SM bass...But, we moved a lot of fish...I think the final count was 5 muskies!!! They were just hitting the lures and not clamping down on them. We had two follow right to the boat, two hit 10' from the boat, and I think the other one was a bit further away...All were seen while casting. Not a bad day on the water, but hopefully more to come.
TRIP 1
Hey there everyone,
Figured the chatter was a bit slow on everyones muskie openers so I thought may as well add mine it to the mix and hopefully get some life into everyone not wanting to share their successes, as I knwo I wasn't the only one to catch a fish...not with that many boats out on the Mad...
I was chucking an inline spinner, black with orange blades, from about 830am until a little after noon. This guy was sitting under a log because I cast the spinner right beside the log and the second it hit the water I had a fish on. He was 34 1/2 - 35 inches. Not a monster but a good start to the season!
