Hey...
I have been fishing out of the jock for the past few years..

What is a quality of the water? _ in the spring anyways? - are they ok to eat?

It it's not listed in the MNR's safe eating guide, I would suggest using the recommendations based on the Rideau R., for the stretch where the Jock flows into the Rideau.

My guess would be that it's a limited consumption based on the possibility of pesticide runoff from the farms, etc.

Rumour has it there are no fish he Jock haha. I doubt there are no fish in there but I've heard many people swear that fish simply don't exist in the Jock hahahaha. Maybe they dont know how to catch them.....I know the Rideau can be sketchy at times, and if there are people that have lived on the Jock for long enough and they say don't, I'd take into acount what they say as they are local to the area. Personally I wouldn't eat fish from the Rideau, but I dont keep fish haha. My two cents

actualy i am not the one that can say if its is safe or not.

there some people that do test on water and fish in there..those are the one to ask sutch a question.

no one can say for sher its is 100% safe.

but..some eat it..some dont.

I probably would in some case..but i realy dont think i will ever keep a fish frome there.

I live along the Jock in Richmond...I don't let my dog go in the river anymore. She stinks even long after she's dry

I agree with RJ - lots of farm run-off...I've never tested it but I'm sure it's not "good".

Your body is your temple
