Our New Boat

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Our New Boat

Post by wolfe »

Here it is, after much deliberation, our new boat:

(picture pending, as I'm having trouble uploading into the gallery :? )

2006 STRATOS 385XF

Some specs / features:
Fiberglass - 18' with Dual Console (1 can be removed if desired)
4-stroke 115 hp Yamaha
Eagle Depth Finder / Lowrance Depth Finder
24V Trolling Motor
Automatic anchor
Livewell with Baitwell
Snap-in Carpet
Keel Guard
3 Bank Charging System
Sweet Rod Storage System

The boat is a "leftover" and has never seen the water. It was used for a couple of shows.

Brian is getting a custom-made cover for it on Monday.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, we are taking it for a maiden voyage on Otisco Lake. It's appropriate timing, as it's also our 17-year wedding anniversary and my father's birthday (miss ya Dad). I see that as a good omen!

Today we all hung out in it, fiddling with our fishing boxes and checking out the nice storage spots. There is so much room; it'll be a real treat to fish from it. We're chomping at the bit to get it out there!

I will keep trying to get the photo's uploaded. I don't know what's wrong, but I just get a blank white screen in the middle of the upload.

Thanks to everyone for their advice, ideas and input. It was a long time coming, and I hope it will be the good choice we think it is for our family.

Here is the error message I'm getting when I try to upload...about 3 or 4 times failed now.

"The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log."

Anyone have any clue what's wrong?

Congrats on the new ride, and your anniversary.

As for the pic, did you try resizing it smaller?

Thank you Andy for moving the thread into this forum.

Thanks Normware and Bucket for the pics. :P I didn't realize it was a pic size issue based on the error message, but I can play around with it tomorrow. I have a couple more pics to share.

We're pretty excited. Got our NYS fishing licenses this afternoon, so we're good to go tomorrow. Just caught the weather report, and it's supposed to be cool but a decent day.

Thanks folks.

Beautiful looking ride Wolfe - now you and your family have the ITCH - only cure is to get her out on the water. Good luck and enjoy.
