Just a head's up....The O.R. water level in the Constance Bay area has risen since yesterday and I now have 20' of water to cross before getting on the ice....I tried wading in with my rubber boots but the water depth in this area is ~38" before the edge of the ice....I'm sure that this will also be an issue in other communities along the river...

One section of the Rideau I was fishing on last week has no ice at all after a quick check today
We should see the effect of the rising water soon if not already

We already see the signs of high water here. If the water goes up another foot and a half the road will be flooded. Everybody be safe out there, and get Joco to close the flood gates already

get Joco to close the flood gates already

.
if the weater keep it that way.they will open more gates..

.
more water will go down.
we have to think the ottawa river is a very very long river and all the affluent that goes in to that is a a lot off water.so if those affluent river get swamp by the rain it will finaly hit the ottawa river then go dow to us and dow to montreal..
i remember.was it last year the river was like 4 or 5 feet higher and there was flood in the road...there was curent in crappy bay,,,,

.
hope not see that.

Mississippi lake has gone up by 2ft and all the tributaries are swollen and still draining into the lake. We need cold weather and we need it now.
Snowmobilers are supper un happy
If enviroment Canada is right though we have only recieved about 20% of our snow fall so far. Yikes that means we would get another 8ft LOL
Cheers and be safe, keep dry

I just drove in from Moose Creek, The Nation River was overflowing it's banks and there were two ice shacks on the river, one up to it's windows in water and the other one floating on it's side. The last time I drove that way the river was frozen over but now it's wide open.

Not funny for the owners now that they have a dilema on their hands...agreed....but the owners should be MORE responsible and tend to their shacks...this warm weather and rain was predicted and I know lot's of my friends who removed their shacks from the ice before the heatwave and heavy rain hit!!
