any Idea of
where to start ?
Stay overnight ?
when to fish (Mid october and on ?)
and what to look out for as it seems the waters get pretty rough !!
I am used to lake ontario if that helps !?!?!
Thank you
If the water temps are in the 60's you will be fine moving cranks at 1.4 to 1.8 mph. As the water cools you will need to slow down. Also watch the baits at the side of the boat before letting them out to determine the best action. Keep changing speeds until you find a pattern. I like to think of it as 'let the walleye tell you what they want'.Cast-A-Way wrote:Thank's for all the replies !
As for Speed, Since I fish for salmon and trout mostly at higher speeds you say about 1MPH is the way to go ??
I can get as low as about 1.8-1.4 on the GPS with my boat, so do you think a drift sock would help or "backtrolling" ??
Thank you
