I have the above mentioned unit. Yesterday while fishing all of a sudden in the middle of the day, the unit would not function properly. All it would let me do is use the full page map screen. I could zoom in and out. The pages button would show the smallest mark on the screen and that would be it. The menu key didnt work as well. The unit also shut down regularily rebooting itself. It was very frustrating to say the least as I have just had the unit installed this spring. I unplugged and replugged the unit several times but to no avail.
I am hoping it is a user problem and not a unit problem. You have no idea how accustomed you get to having these units. I am planning on calling Lowrance on tuesday morning if it doesnt resolve itself by then.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 1st time ou twith the same unit and it kept rebooting, I too unpluged it several times, then I shut it off and pulled out the GPS card, reinstalled it and had no problems ever since.

Give that a try.

Sorry I guess I should have mentioned that. Hold down both the zin znd zout keys while pressing the power key untill the original map of the us comes up. You loose everything that you have stored so if you need things saved...

I got out for the weekend with this unit and the only problem I had was losing sonar at higher speeds, pretty sure its a transducer problem, everything else worked fine.

with my previous Lowrance unit I too would lose sonar at high speed but not with this one.

I'm pretty impressed so far.

I have two of these units on my boat. You have to set the chart speed to allow for a good reading at high speeds. You should also download and install the updates that are available for these units. The lowrance site can guide you through it. You have to really read and understand the manual for this unit and when you do you would'nt understand what these units can do. They are amazing. I have mine networked together now , they give me even the temp of my livewell, they have the built in flashers as well as many screens. Just push pages and scroll left or right to have your own custom pages.

I have done all of these things and still the problem is there, I have read the manual and adjust the chart speed. I believe it is the location of the transducer or electrical interference at higher speeds. I am going to try and move the transducer and see if this corrects the problem, i hope it does because this unit is sweet.

You can adjust the electrical interference on that unit. You dont have to move it. Then you will just have to keep it on that setting.
