AH so excited to get out for the first time this year i will be fishing the nith river near ayr which is a new spot to me and am targeting trout anyone have any tips?

I did a quick search and all I could find on the Nith was guided bass fishing trips. That being said, unless there is are some hidden pockets of wild trout in there it might be a long day of trout fishing for you.

The tailwaters of the Grand or the Upper Credit might be a better choice if you're looking for trout.
