ice fishing in windsor?

any1 know of a a good place to go ice fishing down here? were pritty limited because we have the detroit river but it never freezes properly.... i see ppl fishing in the canals at the marinas but the water is low and they only catch perch.... any idea of something within a local drive? thx

I don't know what's it's like there now, but I remember when I lived down there in the back in the 70's , Lake St Clair and Erie used to get fished alot in the winter..Why not give them a try? That is if you get any ice this year!

:D Try expanding your marina fishing. Lots of crappies caught in your area through the ice. Basshaven on the other side of Lake St.Clair usually has up to date info.

wish i could get out to the lakes but my travel abilities are limited... as for marina fishing what should i expect? im new to ice fishing and would love to get into some crappi
