Toronto Boat Show

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Toronto Boat Show

Post by Walker »

Just got back from Boat Show since staying in T.O. for a course I'm on. Puts the Ottawa one to shame for "BIG SHIPS" and I mean SHIPS. Sailing yachts, cabin cruisers the size of the QE II. It was a fun and interesting time.
Got to much free time on my hands while on the course and have to keep from spending money in bars.

Joco, they had plenty of canoes/kyaks there ,even a kyak powered by a small 4-stroke engine(50mpg). all set up for trolling and steered with a joy-stick.

hahaa joco.. i might be misunderstanding but im pretty sure mpg is Miles Per Gallon.. also I doubt a kayak would go 50mph especially w/ a "small 4 stroke" lol :P would be a sweet ride tho if it was!

Joco, the same company that makes the kayak also makes powered surfboards. Also at the show they have air-boats,great for ice-fishing from.If ice breaks it floats and you can bomb over the ice. Great all year round boat.

Just a heads up. The Toronto boat show is $15 to get in and $10 to park.

I ended up going on Saturday.

Left Ottawa at 4:30am to make the opening... I had my eyes on a boat that I was going to purchase via pictures only and just couldn't bring myself to do it so had to drive down.

Was real happy I did... I change my mind and picked up a different boat.

I ended up with the Legend 20 xcalibur and put a 115 Mercury 4 stroke on the back. Can't wait to pick it up and bring the family out!

The Toronto boat show sure is impressive. Have been able to make it there once.
Carlco: Congrats on new ride ! I'm sure you will be happy with choice. Handles great in big water. I have a 185 xcalibur and have been very satisfied with it.
