Got out with Badger Shark for a lil' muskie troll on the Ottawa yesterday. Launched at the Nepean sailing club at about 11am and fished till 4:30pm. Washed a variety of baits.....nothing. Good coversation and a few laffs were the order of the day. Good gettin' out with ya Badge.......we'll have ta do it again sometime before the hardwater comes!

Ya, Bowzog we will get out again hopefully. Still wanna go back to Quinte though, Bobbers eye makes mine look like a minnow so I need to get one at least respectable to that.

don't give up on the O just yet, we raised 2 and boated 2 others last weekend. If the weather stays warm like it has the past 2 weeks, this weekend should produce. We picked up the males shallow as there is still lots of green weed around, no females though.

You need to grab the fish by the tail and turn it over and look at it's butthole, keyhole is a male and pear shape is a female. A little hard to tell on the smaller fish but very easy on bigger ones.

To be honest, I'm a novice at checking, but my fishing budy knows his stuff and could tell. Like Trophymuskie said, it's all in the shape of the vent.
