Local Bass Opener

Due to starting a new job on tuesday, and having a stag to attend saturday night, this was the first opening of bass that i didn't head up north....
I figured if i stayed home, at least i'd be fishing water void of any bass tournaments or other common northern lake madness. I fished for five hours Saturday morning and three hours this evening (Sunday).
I started out saturday morning (5am) throwing top waters, hoping to catch the first of the season with a big exciting hit.....took a little while, but managed my first of the season on an old zell roland pop-r.
soon after i switched to rubber worms, and thats what i basically stuck to for the two days. i found fish were pretty tight to cover...which makes the fishing fun. here's some pics i took over the two days of some of the nicer fish.

Definitely a fun opener, especially for fishing local waters.
