I have never been there before, where would you park and how do you get to where you are going?

Have a great time if you go, guys. It's wet and dreary here.
Good luck!

Too Rex Mundi, you can park on any of the side streets north of Carling(Booth, Rochester, Norfolk, Adeline) or on the government lot on Booth, and walk over to the lake. Follow the path to the west of the boat house and around behing the naval base. The bike path will take you out to the point on the west side of the lake.
Leaving shortly.

Well, only caught 18 assorted panfish (crappie, bluegill, pumpkinseed). They were hitting well early, and then stopped about 7:00 pm. Was using a small ice fishing jig and a waxie. Nothing on the point on the west side, all were caught around the boat house.
The crappie were in the 9 to 10 inche range, bluegill were hand size.

Thanks for that Pints. It's nice to read about your experience in a different location. Are you gonna be taking us all over Ottawa this summer?

Fishhawk, it would be interesting to hit all the "urban fishing" sites posted on the MNR website, and report on success, location etc. I must give that some serious thought.
