visiting area

Hi All,

I'm here in Ottawa working for 6 weeks. I'm basically boatless, so I'm looking for spots where I can wade or cast from shore, for trout, pike, musky, bass, anything but carp. I have both fly and spinning gear. Any info would be appreciated. I'm also up for fishing with anyone who's interested. I work nights so I pretty much have weekdays free.

There are lots of shore fishing opportunitys around Ottawa. Check this link http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR/fishing/ot ... shhome.htm
note: The bass season in this area does not open untill June 30th on the Ottawa River and June 24th on the Rideau River
Muskie opens on the Rideau on June 3 and the Ottawa on June 16.
walleye and pike are open now as is trout.
