whats your fav?

hey all
im going pike fishing the last week of may. ill be goin to silver lake near perth... what techniques, colors, sizes do you all prefer...
im thinkin ill stic my my tried and true
spinner baits (black.blue mix, white, red)
buz bait ( i have an amazing black and oange 1 that i go to)
and the always potent tube jig...when there on the bottom
i also hear good things abot spoons (daredeil and 5 of diomands seem to be loved...i have some but havent had a much sucess)
i also have had limited sucess with inline spinners and bucktales
any tips on sizes? colours? or jsut what u like to use would be great...

Husky jerk - firetiger or minnow color . Depends on what baitfish are there ( perch/minnow)

Husky jerks, Xraps, worked fast with twitches will get you some fish. try some top water baits as well like the zara spook and try a chartruese spinnerbait.. you should be good to go

Big bucktails (orange & black, orange & black!!!), Bomber Long A's (worked for me last May on Charleston) and a nice-sized beetlespin tipped with a large plastic grub or shad in natural colors. I like the hammered finish on the spin blades over the smooth. Gives a bit more flash and flutter, I think.

sounds good. must be something about the orange... good.. or luckey..,lol
my fav buzz bait by far is orange with a few black strands... best part it was free.... still outdoes any other buzz biat i have

how bout size? silver lake isent known for monster pike its more about numbers for me... i want fish in the boat... end of may... how long should i be thinkin 3-6"?

Try spinner baits early and as search baits. More colourfull will get more hits, though you will want to change a few times to see what works.
Stick baits should be in the 4-6" range the fish are going to be off the spawn, and will feed aggressivly.
Try spoons, aswell as some bigger in line spinners say from a 3-5 Mepps, and bucktail on them doesn't hurt either.

asome thx... spinner biats have always been my go to bait but when things arent so hot on them i like options..

i couldent agree more .... orange and black seems to be money for pike....any other thoughts on olours... small spinners that are a black dark bluehave been great for largemouth for me....
any thoughts
