Ice Fishing Trip

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Ice Fishing Trip

Post by JohnB »

Well, I guess this post is a little while in coming, but I've been waiting to get a picture of our trip. After seeing Leisure Cottages recommended in one post on the board here, several of my friends and I decided to do some ice fishing over reading week. I have to say I was really pleased with the service and the accomidations. The bite was a little slow, but we managed a couple of walleyes and a wee perch (which was hooked too badly to release). The walleye were barely touching the minnows. It remind me of a brook trout nibbling on a worm. If anyone is looking for a place to stay I the summer or ice fish I would recommend this place.
