Did anyone get anything on Palmerston last weekend?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Ewbie and I scored 3 throw-backs on Saturday. 22 ", 21 " and something significantly smaller. It sure was neat to see the skidoos acting like seadoos on the lake. And a beaver popped up onto the ice near where we launched the snowmobile. That was reassuring. lol There was still a ton of ice there but a good couple of inches of water on top.

Got Out

Post by franklauzon »

We got out at the not so popular end of the lake...

I lost two at the hole, and Bradford ice one at 20"... Overall pretty disappointing compared to last year. And the water was not fun. My poor vex was basically useless!

What's the "not so popular end"? The east end where it feeds into the creek? That's where we parked and I saw the beaver.

Once of them got caught on the side of the ice while I reached down to pull out the ducer, and the other the back hook on the jigging rap clipped the ice.

Yeah that's the not so popular end.

The other end is a zoo...
