RUMBLE IN ROCKLAND Fall Classic '06'

Location: Rockland Park (Launch fee $15.00)
Date: September 16th
Species: Bass
Entrance Fees: $10.00 per person (100% returned as prize money and burgers and dogs at MT's).
All invited to MT's afterwards. You are responsible for your personal refreshments.
Blast Off: begins at 8:30 prompt / 2 phases
under 90HP leave at 8:30
90 hp + thereafter
Weigh in: 3:30 prompt
1 lb penalty for dead fish.
Prize breakdown: to be determined. Based on biggest fish. Maximum 1 fish per participant.
Participant limit: 60


Mellee on the Mississippi

We are also looking at at opener on the first weekend of Bass on the Mississippi. It appears there are no big tourneys booked that weekend, and it may be a window to have a get together. Stay tuned for an update.......

These events that are being organized with FUN in mind....lets keep it that way....

How's the guide service lately

I would love to attend as I have never fished that area and I would like to meet everyone but I have not boat. So if anyone has an extra seat available.....

I'll be there!! Might need a seat if anyone has one to spare . But man my fall bassing skills are weak but hopefully that will improve next year

I heard that Mikey has bought numerous seat poles that he did stack up for his front deck seat. It might be royalty related or a new edge for sight fishing we'll have to ask him

Count me in Mikey. altough I was thinking that there is a big hole for the middle of the summer as far as events goes. Maybe we should organize a "Ribbit in Frogland" ie Lochaber's Bay and use only one rod and frogs/toads as baits. The 12 of august is free I believe.

Ahhhhhh...Spinner.....let me see if I have any pictures of our fish from last year...hmmmm...lemme look...hmmm...NOPE! NADA!...the BIG "0"...ZIPPO!...ZILCHAROONI!.....Coyote...winning the RUMBLE is like winning the Super Bowl....your a champ for life...Team 5 has the ring! Ok, now....lemme see if I have any pics of your fish from last yea...hmmm....lemme see ow...hmmmm.....NOPE! Nada one!...hmmm....that's funny...I do have alot of pics here....but none of Coyote holding a fish!!!! LL, if someone wishes to step up to the plate and organize a mid summer RUMBLE, I'd be more than happy to help out from this end. There are many issues to contend with, tourney schedules etc... I will be making a few trips up to fish Ontario this year and will cast an invite to all who would like to join in and have a small fun tourney if interested. I developed the RUMBLE concept around 2 main factors, FUN and minimal costs to the participants. RUMBLEs aren't a tourney trail....the events are just Mikey and the boys saying "Let's get together and have some fun fishing" On that note, if someone like yourself would like to organize a mid summer RUMBLE, I'd be more than happy to guide you through the process. But the RUMBLE concept of fun and minimal costs would have to be the focus. 100% payout in one shape or form. In fact, I'd love to see 3 or 4 RUMBLES a season, organized by a few committees in different locations so everyone can experience the fun of these events! The challenge would be which committee can hold the best RUMBLE! Most fun for the least expense! It would be a great vehicle to allow many people to hook up with some new members they've never met, and fish some new waters without having to mortgage the house to pay for it. In fact, I'll throw the challenge out right now. Who would be willing to organize a small goup of volunteers to put together a mid summer RUMBLE. This way there would be 3 this year. I'd be willing to support the committee with some basic guidelines that are the core of this concept, and I'm sure the great guys that help us all out behind the scenes with my RUMBLES would be more than happy to give advice to those on the committee too.
