I've never made a post like this before so I don't really know how to word it, but what I would like to hear is the size of your biggest Musky, How you caught it, bait you were using, Body of water and that sort of thing. I,m not asking for detials I'd just like to hear about some big fish stories from my fellow Musky hunters.
Thanx

Lookinforlunkers,
Sadly, I have no BIG muskies to tell about. Just some small ones, biggest being 30-1/2". (Notice I am sure to advise you of that 1/2"!

)
This was a tiger musky caught on Otisco Lake (central New York).
I have caught 3 other tigers out of this same lake over the course of a 1 year period. These others were between appx 27"and 30".
The 2 largest ones were caught in Sept.; others in June. Lures used were large spinnerbaits and Bomber Long A's. Always fishing weed edges or directly in among coontail and/or cabbage. Depths varied from 8 feet to about 16' and all were caught in mid to late afternoon.
Another pretty September tiger...
Of interest with this hybrid species is how fast they grow. These "teenagers", so to speak, (actually about 3 or 4 yrs. old) are packing on the growth very quickly and I look forward to reconnecting with some over the next few seasons.
When I think about this, I start to suffer softwater, musky-pursuing withdrawal.
Thx for the opportunity to share this with you in this fun topic thread.
W.

My biggest musky so far is 38 inches, unfortunately I have no pic of it. Caught it just this last summer, what a thrill.

My first and only is in my avatar... it's not huge by muskie standards, but it was a very memorable day on the water (thanks
again Ed!!).
It was caught on the Rideau using a spinnerbait (not White!!).
cheers,
