just checked the photo galary and there are a few pictures of muskies caught through the ice. Do you guys catch alot of them that way? I caught one small one last year but released it quick without a picture. I think it would not be good to keep one out of the water too long as they have to be released. I caught mine jigging for walleye, almost broke my little rod

the best thing unhook and immediate release, no pics there eyes will freeze. . one thing when the panfish stop biting. theres usually a predator below your hole eh.

Surely if u knew u had a beast on, and u were fighting it in a heated hut and someone had a camera ready to snap a pic of WHATEVER was under the ice, out pops a huge musky, obviously you'd snap a quick one and pop her back down
And obviously donj't post an OOS pic

Just curious...do pike have tougher eyes than muskie? Lots of winter pics of them followed by a successfull release.

LOL, I thought the same thing when I read the post. If I ever come back as anything, I want it to be a musky.
Gets more repect from fisherman than any other fish........

i want to come back as a carp. less pressure and in life swallowing sh/';., would not bother me as much
