muskies while ice fishing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

muskies while ice fishing

Post by fish4musky »

just checked the photo galary and there are a few pictures of muskies caught through the ice. Do you guys catch alot of them that way? I caught one small one last year but released it quick without a picture. I think it would not be good to keep one out of the water too long as they have to be released. I caught mine jigging for walleye, almost broke my little rod

Surely if u knew u had a beast on, and u were fighting it in a heated hut and someone had a camera ready to snap a pic of WHATEVER was under the ice, out pops a huge musky, obviously you'd snap a quick one and pop her back down  And obviously donj't post an OOS pic :P

Cheers,

Just curious...do pike have tougher eyes than muskie? Lots of winter pics of them followed by a successfull release.

LOL, I thought the same thing when I read the post. If I ever come back as anything, I want it to be a musky.

Gets more repect from fisherman than any other fish........
