So far, Myself, Hoss, Joe, BTS and MT have expressed interest in geting a a Big Jon Planner Mast.
It would be sweet if we can get a good deal on them as a group. I spoke to a shop in Niagara and they said that he has the oppurtunity coming up in January to discuss the possibility of a deal.
I'm confident we can get something good if we stick together as a group. If anyone else is interested in a planner mast, let us know.
I will stick to my in-lines...I can never go back to the large and cumbersome ski and mast now... just not enough control for contour trolling or making quick turns back to troll over active fish. To many disadvantages for the walleye fishing I do on big water. Not to mention, the in-lines are always in the boat and easy to store.
They are great for straight trolling runs in one direction for salmon and trout
Enjoy the mast, The Big Jon unit is a very good design.

Just a guy that likes to fish walleye
M.T. that is my worry people around here go cruising with 10-15 ft of the fisherman with there pontoon boats. I saw one guy get his line cut off by a pontooner and he went I tried to talk to the guy and just ignored them.
I lik the inlines too. I use them both....depends on application and conditions.
You're more likely to get a inlines run over than a planner mast board too. It's frustrating, but most boaters are clueless to what planner boards are and they just arent looking for them. Tough to really be angry with them persoanally, but it sure sucks if it happens to you.
