Quinte walleye tournament Nov 13.

Skevy's Outdoor Specialities is announcing a live release walleye tournament this upcoming November 13th, 2005. This event will be a 2 man team event with 70% of entrance fees for cash prizes for 1st to 5th place The remaining 30% will be donated to the Quinte Vocational Support Services who will use the money to create fishing opportunities for Handicapped Adults. There will be a Hidden weight prize. There will be a separate "Big Fish" pot of $20.00 per team payable morning of event. Tournament fee is $130.00 per team.
The event will take place at the Deseronto public launch. Blastoff is
7am and weigh-in at 3:30pm. Placing will be determined by total weight
of 4 fish. Normal MNR regulations apply. Teams will be allowed one early

Rules

1. Each team will consist of (2) members. All members must be 16 years of age or have a signed parental consent letter.
2. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification.
3. All boats must be a minimum of 14 ft. in length and be equipped with a WORKING KILL SWITCH that must be attached to the driver's body while combustion engine is running (unless at trolling speed) and a working live well is mandatory. Maximum horsepower for all outboards and inboards must not exceed the horsepower limitations set by the manufacture's rating plate. Charging or altering standard factory parts of your motor to increase the horsepower over the factory horsepower rating is forbidden.
4. All tournament boats checks will begin at 6:00am SHARP and the tournament will run from 7:00am to 3:30pm. There will be a PENALTY of 1LB. FOR EVERY MINUTE LATE on scheduled return.
5. Pre-fishing will be allowed to 5:00pm the preceding day of the tournament.
6.All federal and provincial boating regulations must be adhered to.
7. Only the species being fished for will be kept. All other species will be released immediately.
8. POSSESSION LIMITS: a) Walleye tournament - 4 fish per team with a minimum size limit of 14" "Tip to Tail". Any fish that is deemed short of the minimum size will not be weighed in and a one pound shall be deducted from the balance of the teams weight.
9. It is at the discretion of the Tournament Director if the tournament must be delayed or cancelled for weather reasons.
10. In the case of a tie for any position, the prizes for that position and the position beneath will be added together and distributed equally among the tied teams.
11. All waters accessible by boat from the lake proper are deemed tournament waters unless specified by the Tournament Director. Locking through to other waters will not be permitted unless otherwise specified
12. NO alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs may be consumed or in the possession of any competitor or boat.
13. Fishing prohibited within 100 ft. of another competitor's boat which was first anchored, the trolling motor must be out of the water. No fishing is allowed within 100 yards of Ministry of Natural Resources nets or marina gas pumps.
14. Decisions of the Tournament Director are final. Protests are allowed up to 15 minutes after the last fish is weighed. A $50.00 deposit must be paid and is refundable only if the protest is upheld.
15.Competitors may obtain fuel or repairs from marinas or use washroom facilities providing one (1) member remains in the boat. Obtaining rods/reels, bait (live or otherwise), information or food from marinas, tackle stores or bait shops is not permitted.
16.Any team disqualified for any reason will NOT receive refund or entry fee.
17. All taxes on any prize awards are the responsibility of the recipients.
18. If in the officials' opinion, a fish is judged dead, you will receive the weight of the fish minus an 8 oz. penalty. Fish must be ALIVE to be eligible for the Big Fish award
19.Personal flotation devices must be securely worn while travelling at other than trolling and drifting speeds.
20. It is the responsibility of the participants to bring fish up to the weigh-in stage from boat.
21. Proof of boat insurance must be made available upon request. All boats must be covered by a minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance. (For U.S. anglers, the standard amount of insurance for the U.S. will apply.)

wow sounds like fun to bad i have no partner ....or to bad i havent fished there yet a real rookie here :D
