Some of you might already know but I broke my musky rod.

Myself+Bike+shore fishing+dark trail=2 piece rod...

So anyways I took it back to where I got it. He asked what happened so I straight up told him because lets face it, you could tell what happen. All I got was "see what I can do..." Which was all right with me considering the rod was a three year old Premier. So to get to the point I get a call the other day telling me that I will be getting a brand new rod in about a week. Apparently free of Charge also which is great because I have no money what so ever as it is

But to sum up what I have to say. "I am very happy with St. Croix" And the good thing is they haven't figured out "Curtis breaks all" yet so this might fly a few more times. I think Classic Sports is beginning to get a little bit weary about my monthly appearances with new 2 or 3 piece rods.

I would have laughed at you, said sorry about your luck, pointed you towards wal-mart to get a set of training wheels for the bike and sent you on your way.

Very surprised they stepped up and helped with this one.

We have a great fishing store here in South Western Ontario. It makes up for the relatively crapping fishing in the area.

Anyways, I buy the higher end Shimano rods. I have busted a few, some carelessly...and all have been replaced with a $7 shipping charge. The owner relishes in hearing how the rods were destroyed. He loved the one about my 5 year old daughter jamming the rod tip into the door. .

He also loved the story about the stingray following my Octupus bait scent trail in 5' of water, in Cuba .

I didn't wipe out on the bike. The rod caught the ground i let go and it broke...

As for Scuro you think you got it good. I have the Repair deopt in my home town. No shipping charges what so ever... Its as simple as riding my mike there and picking up a new rod. I think i will think twice about riding my bike with a 1pc rod now though...

Makes things very simple.

Markus: Is the Loomis warranty very good?? The guy at BPS told me they were the worst out of all the companies for warranty work... But meh its not like i can afford to spend $200 on a rod anyways.

I have been a St Croix user for over 10 years now and by far have the best warentee in the buisness bar none including G loomis . next year They evan have a casting and spinning rod retailing in the 50$ range and now all St Croix have a 5 year no nonsence warentee. And yes the lifetime warentee rods still have there unmatched warentee as well . this in addition to the incredible quality makes this the only rods in my boat. for all aplications.
