Hit the rideau tonight and went back to my favorite spot. Got a nice bass on a new lure but I am always going back to the reliable spinner bait. I dug in my collection and pulled out a white one. Gave it a cast or two then pt my rod down to get a drink of water. The spinner bait was still in the water and bang-fish on. I wasn't even fishing

A little 22 incher said hello. Well got a pic and a good laugh and let her go. For the fun of it put my spinnerbait back into the water and went back for that drink of water I wanted in the first place and then bang - fish on, again I wasn't even fishing and this bold 26 incher says hello.

Another good laugh, a good drink of water, settled into my seat and cast out that white spinnerbait I had made and snap, she's gone forever.

M.T. you would have been proud. WOW what a fish story. If you look close enough at my watch you'll see it was only a minute or two apart.

good report and nice fish. Sorry to hear about your spinner baits. It always happens that when you start to catch fish on something you loose it.
