new to the city

hi!
i'm new to ottawa, originally from the east coast....
i'd like to find some new people/friends to fish with, and it looks like this is the place to be! you all seem sooo nice!! i'm glad i found this site
i don't have a boat and i don't know where to fish. can someone help me?

Welcome Jenna. You're doubly in luck, not only have you found an excellent fishing site and community, I'm starting to think we also serve as a support network for transplated East Coasters. We moved here ourselves from Halifax 2 years ago.

Hi Jeana Bass. Welcome to FH.Net. I see you share the same IP address as Hawg Wabbler and Eye Tracker. Seeing how I know these 2 work together, I'm guessing you work with them as well.
Both great anglers in their own right and I'm sure either of them would be happy to help you.

Is someone gonna help this lady find a spot to fish or what?
Snag, maybe you could find the time to help JB with starting out with a few fishing spots.

There's lots of spots here to check out. If you have a vehicle, most of these spots are easily accessible. A good spot to try is along the Rideau River in the Carleton U and Billings area.
Also, keep an eye out on Hawk-Talk, there's always someone posting that they are looking for a partner to join them in the boat for a trip out.
