Bass Season Opener 26th of June

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I will agree with you when you show us a pic of your 40lb carp you catch every time you go fishing.

As for bass, my 8 yrs old son caught 2 on a worm at Dows lake last week before we had to move . Bass fishing requires exactly that much skill. Oh, and some arm stretching too!

Take it easy man.

Hey Mark,

Anytime you'd like to put your "no skill" up against my "no skill" on the banks of the Larry let me know......

Actually that is the best of both worlds...But I can do most of that from a boat as well. Even BBQ if it is a pontoon boat. But as for skill I think it is a bit more difficult than sitting and waiting. You need the right spot at the right time I think. Never really tried to fish for carp on purpose before. I would not mind holding a 26lber up for a photo....So who is taking me out for some carp soon???
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.

This thread has taken some serious swings. Maybe that's why it's still alive.
Back to the OP question:

Where will you be on Bass season opener?
(other than lake X, Secret Place, Unicorn Island, and carping)

This thread is bi-polar.

I'll still be on Newboro or Big Rideau.

Newboro Lake holds some decent sized bass? I've been to Opinicon (which is at the northern part of Big Rideau), caught a few pike, and a few small bass.
