Species that you would or would not eat?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I don't think I would eat a gar. That's one ugly fish - and teeth from eyeballs to a-hole
I never even knew they existed until the AJ pic was put up. I'm glad I now know what that is because if I ever caught one I would have probably shot it. Looks like something caught on the Simpson's behind the power plant.

I did an article on this animal for the Wolfe Lake Association's newsletter this year. Very cool and unusual animal. I'm glad I'm bigger than they are, for as comical and cute as they appear, they're major predators.

When my grandfather first got his cottage, and started anchoring his boat about 50 feet from the beech, the first few summers, we had a problem with an otter.

They were eating the mussels, and this one Otter was using my grandfathers boat, as a buffet table. He was collecting mussels, than climbing up onto the boat, to eat in peace.
The bottom of the boat, was filled with mussel shells!!! quite comical, seeing as I was not the one who had to clean it up
