Anyone who knows anything about how predators work would agree 100% with you and I am no exception.
A trailer is a definite must try.
I was thinking the spoons were going to work the best but right now everything else works just great, at least in a bath tub, but a leader might just be the trick for the heavier spoon.

It's good to see that the few things I remember from High School bio still come in handy! Consider that my brillliant moment for the year!
Nice rigs! What else to do when you're counting down the days until pike starts!
I bought 2 packs of the new storm swim soft baits like you have there, the perch and the pike. I'm hoping they have improved the design of the tails. The original Storm soft swimbaits had a weak tail piece that would rip off at the smallest nibble, or even if you jerked it too fast in the water. At $8 a pack, thats $2 down the drain.
Has anyone had success with these baits? They look like the next best thing, but weak tails I see as a huge problem. A husky jerk may cost $8 but they last for a long time, replace the hooks and you're good to go.

print it and save it and we will try it in May
Make it June and you'r on
I'll have to try the spoons on open water or go to a smaller size spoon because they were the opposite of what I had anticipated, at least in the bath tub
This is killing me, but only 23 days till Westmeath
Just read this Mr J, what a great idea! I see uses for this type of adjustable spinner bait, I have been looking for ideas for special rigging a quick strike rig for the muskie, a bigger version would be great, with different spinner sizes for depth control - excellent!!
