Few weeks and time for some victoria island cats

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'm guessing your Ontario license covers fishing here eh? No need for Quebec license?

There are several old threads about this. You do NOT need both licenses. The Ottawa river can be fished with either a Quebec or Ontario license, even from shore. BUT Ontario rules must be obeyed on Ontario side and Quebec rules on Quebec side.

True like scarney said,
I have both,,but fish in deferent zone thats why not because of the OR.

And yes games warden are there a lot, and i happy they are.

Always a few trying for walleye before it open on yhe vict island itself,,,let say we saw some get caught 8) .

But wish they would patrol all along the bike path,,cause i know one place where eye so spawn and guy fish that creek ,,during that time :? ,,ho well. Ok far frome are cats tread

See ya guys wen the time come

I bet you guys will have some luck there soon. I hooked into a nice channel cat on a totally different part of the river on Sunday. He was a bit sluggish but another week of this and I bet they will really turn on!
