Sail Baron In Ottawa?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Probably not going to be like LeBarons.

I've been to the one in Quebec City, and one of the stores in Montreal. The selection of fishing stuff (in August) was fantastic. The people at the gun counter were friendly and helpfull. The canoe/kayak person offered to "fit" me into a kayak, just because I was looking... All in all, a great shopping experience at both stores.

I do know that this is dependant on the staff they hire, because there are jerks in every store. But really, from a retail standpoint, SailBarons seems to have it right.

should be fun.9k frome home not bad.
My understanding is that the on-line catalog is not complete.

I'm told that they also cater to waterfowlers needs (e.g., Big Foot decoys, etc.) and you don't see that in the catalog.

Anyway, when they'll open, I'll have to go and judge for myself.

Le Baron Sport (Mtl-based spoof of the original Le Baron) changed when they merged with a camping Trailhead-ish store called Sail. Over the last 5 years or so, they've been opening-up locations in the Mtl region.

My take...the original Baron will have better prices, Paddletales will have everything in stock (like the Curado 301 my bro will pick up soon   ) and the outdoorsmen will have another option.

:D It's planned to open this fall in Ottawa the store you speak to. I'm in Hawkesbury and visit the store in Laval often. It's a good store with alot of stock for bass. Way better than Lebarons in my oppinion. You guys should like it if it's any thing the same.
