What do you do for a living????
I'm in IT with City of Ottawa.
Part time downhill ski instructor at Mount Pakenham, volunteer skier with disabled skiers also at Pakenham, volunteer boat driver with disabled water ski program. Learned to fish in the sea off the shore in UK (I still have my 12ft beachcaster). Enjoy bass fishing, White Lake, Mississippi Lake, Ottawa River and general area. Just started BoQ fishing for "eyes" and loving it. Great site you guys have here, I'm learning a lot.

every week I try to write a business plan that will get me closer to working full time in one of the two sports I love - golf and fishing... Either on my own, or leveraging what I do now
in the meantime, and for the past 7 years I have been working as a Marketing Manager, primarily in the financial services and loyalty program worlds

Special Education teacher - I love my job...but come the end of June I'm spent and on that last day I'm already heading north in the car for a major week long trip. Nothing like leaving school behind and getting on the open highway for a complete mind change. You know the feeling...when you were young, that final bell would ring as you ran out the door into summer.

I work for a construction contractor in Ottawa. We do bridge repair and installation, road and sewer work, commercial landscaping, greenroofing, sportsfields, and snowparks. I'm a lead hand but my position takes me from a supervisory role to installer to heavy equipment operator. Best part is that my slowest two months of the year fall during my favourite time to fish... icefishing in January and February

This seems to be a popular thread every time it comes up. Wolfe posted a similar one last year as well which was quite interesting. Here is it if anyone wants to get caught up on some of the other guys and gals we've had in the past....who may still be here I'm sure.

I've been writing software for almost 25 years now. I still get a kick out of it when something I create actually works.....
Spring, summer and fall I can be found nearly every weekend fishing with my wife and dog somewhere on the Ottawa R in the section above the whitewater. If I'm not out on the Ottawa, I'm probably doing a tournament on one of the nearby lakes. I'm a fairweather ice fisherman (cold and bit of snow is fine, wind and a lot of snow is not) and for those winter weekends that I don't get out, I grumble a lot about how far away Spring is, organize my tackle or talk to my boat.
This winter I will have a new distraction, fastening dead animal parts onto a hook with thread.

Retired in 98 after almost 30 years in the army and have worked as a consultant since. At present I do Threat and Risk Assessments for the Canada Revenue Agency.
My main fishing pashion at present is muskie which was strongly reinforced this weekend after 2 days of catching boring walley at Quinte. (even though they're big, they don't fight....they just make a nice picture)

Here's an instant replay:
Family name McCue, live and fish in Quebec. So McQ it is.
I try hard to make a bit of a living from the fishing & tourism business. Some times are better than others but the fishing and helping others is always great.
Hand tie walleye harnesses on a custom order basis and sell quite a few to the tournament guys. Keeps me busy through the winter.
Participate in and monitor 67 fishing websites sharing information with others and also moderate walleye forums on a couple of them.
Regularly sit in here at Fish-Hawk - you guys are the reason for that.
Looking forward to seeing some of you fellow "reprabaits" at Wings on Wednesday.
