That seems like a very dangerous spot for wading?This spot is known locally as "The Wall'.It is part of Old canal system before Seaway was developed. The opening in right of picture was made app. 10 years ago and has been a Walleye magnet since their return some years ago.Some years the water is above "The Wall" and others below it.There is virtually no current where they stand however a step off will put you 20' of water!It's a great spot for non boaters to catch Walleye for about 4 weeks after season opens and Walleye are still near their spawning beds.

The "Wall" is a great spot for anyone on foot patrol. Case in point; the bro and I were itchin to get out last week and I was in the middle of installing new seals in my lower unit so we opted to take advantage of the "get in and get out" convenience that the wall provides. T'was a beauty of a morn and the fish were a bitin'...
