RJnBirdees Panfish/Vexilar Demo Day on Lower Rideau...

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

you don't have to drive out, how ever it will be a bit of a walk from the launch to the registration area. The last time i fished, there was a plowed road out to the area. lots of people do drive out but that would be your call.

It's a substantial walk, one that I wouldn't want to do.

I walked it last weekend while the kids were playing around on the ski-doo and quad. It took awhile.
It was a nice walk but wouldn't do it with young children or having to pull a sled with gear.

just spent the day out there with a Vexilar fl 18 and a Jason Mitchell Clam 5000 portable, great day lots of Perch and a couple of Pike, 2nd time ive ever used the fl 18 it ROCKS and is VERY SIMPLE to use. The Clam 5000 is a real beaut.. Gander Mountain in Watertown is where we bought ours and the price was good. The ice roads out to the hut city are well plowed and there is lots of fishing space.. lower Rideau is always a great one to fish.

Good stuff ASK.

Mossy's Smoke Shop will be on hand all day cooking up sausages on the grill. Awesome food.

Bennett's BaitNTackle have are taking care of the coffee and Timbits and registration. Thumbs up to Wayne and Shaun!

Weather looks good, no licenses required so bring out someone who has never ice fished before!

Thanks

Try this
1143 County Road 1, Rideau Ferry, Ontario, this is the address for rideau ferry marina, once you pass the marina on the right it will be your next left. That would be Yacht Club road, follow it till you see the parking lot and the launch will be on the right. You can look for the signs

Hi All,

Hope that everyone is in good health.
Today I went to the fishing derby. It was a nice event. Good organizing and everything was great.
Though we were not lucky in getting big fish, my family and I had lots of fun.
See you in coming events.
