Italo Labignan
Re: Italo Labignan
Wow... I guess some people aren't very forgiving. I guess some people never make mistakes.
I know that if I didn't learn from my mistakes... I would never learn anything at all.
I don't see too much wrong with the video. But you can always pick apart what others do... I know I was watching Mercer on TV catching Gobies by accident and throwing them back in the water alive. I was shocked! I think I will still watch his show

Depends on said "mistakes"
Had it been one incident then not an issue.
Both gentlemen have a storied history of "mistakes" and the fines and convictions to go with them.

Re: Italo Labignan
If I remember correctly I believe Henry and Italo filled up a bunch of coolers with Walleye then tried to blame it on their camera crew. Even though they had video evidence. I don't know but I can't forgive these guys
Re: Italo Labignan
Did anyone take into consideration that these are just fish?
If you are so damned worried about the general health and well being of fish, you wouldn't be out there on any given day tormenting them into biting your offerings, then dragging them around on a line and reeling them in, so that you can then coddle them in your still in the water net, take or not take a picture so that you can show the world, should really stop going fishing.
If this is you, you are a hypocrite!
The flip side of a fish too long out of water etc... = dinner!

Quick question Jimmy, Have you ever broken a law ? Any law... fail to come to a complete stop, maybe forgot to signal once, went just a little over the post speed limit?Jimmy_1 wrote:That's my point.ShawnD wrote:Wait whattt???Jimmy_1 wrote:Kinda like Superman telling me to return my library books on time while he sleeps with Lois Lane and WonderWoman.....
I fail to see why I should be listening to or following someone's advice when they themselves aren't being 100% kosher.
Don't tell me how to handle fish when you've been caught poaching them (a few times).
I am basing my opinion on fact.

These are professional fisherman who have broken fishing regulations on many occasions.
This is not traffic violations.
I don't see your point.

Jimmy,
My point is that if you have, then, you too are not 100% kosher and you shouldn't be sharing them with anyone or do you choose to be a hypocrite?

Re: Italo Labignan
I suppose what everyone should keep in mind is that these guys paid their fines and it is in the past.
With the mentality that these guys have nothing to contribute ever to anything fishing is the same as saying that a reformed alkie or druggie should NEVER be able to do anything and or give advice to anyone about anything.
Kind of narrow minded.
If anything can come from this thread, I hope it is about proper fish handling if your intention is to return a fish to the water and want it to swim and not become a floater.

Re: Italo Labignan
Not certain about that. If you can find something in the code, let me know. At this point there is no slander or anything that I can see. The creep out thing is just opinions, and the stuff about his past problems with laws are matters of public record.Choke wrote:This conversation has less to do with fish handling than me telling you how much my feet stink after wearing my boots all day.
I feel its more about dragging a dead horse threw the mud.
Isn't there something in the code of conduct about this.
I think its breaking a rule or two.
Should have called it. Lets trash Italo on fish hawk..
