Weeknight tourneys

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Alright then its settled, Thursday the 11th of July, yes tomorrow, will be the first WeekNightTournament.

You can launch from anywhere you like, but we HAVE to meet at the Masson launch.
Where I'll have a marker with a number (this number is your blast off number and team number for the night), a waiver sheet and this is the same place I'll take your entry fees.
Weigh-in will be once again just left of the Masson launch.

For everyone wanting me to go West with this, I will give it some thought and see what launches are available and where.

Blast off is at 6pm- return is 9:30pm, I am expecting between 5 to 8 boats for this tournament.

 Am I nuts? UltraBass/OVSB/MSBassin and now I'm trying to organize a weeknight thing.. Good thing I'm not married. :D

I can't remember...

1. Only Quebec OR Ontario license is required right?
2. It doesn't matter on what side you launch? (ie. launch on Ontario side with a Quebec license)

Hmmm I know that while on the river, if you have a QC license you're okay to fish on either side of the river but stay clear of the inner baies.
As for launching though I don't see what the problem could be, you'll be releasing the fish before you get your boat back on your trailer..

damn! I am committed to golf tomorrow else I'd be in.

Petrie and Rockland are roughly the same distance. Turn right out of Petrie or left out of Rockland. The problem though is that, at least the last time I knew the hours, Petrie closes before you'd be back at the launch. Maybe Petrie would be able to stay open an extra hour and a half if there were several boats launching for this event.

Also, someone mentioned launching at Cumberland. Did you mean Quigley Hill? Can't remember who but someone posted on here the other day that it is in rough shape. I definitely would not launch my 17 footer from there.

If this event is on again the following week, I'll be in so long as it is not a Wednesday.

Good luck. Sounds like fun

I might be able to do this tournament too. Any one looking for a partner?

I'll have a free spot in the boat, but seeing as I'm organizing it you might be at a disadvantage..
Got to make sure everyone is ready and going before six!

Without 4x4 I wouldn't even try, it's in rough shape.
