Madawaska River Report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

that 35 poster,what a d.bag!!! needle point.?? common'.....

getting back to topic.

Priorguy i've come to learn a few things about this board. don't let it bite you.

you saw the quinte thing about a week ago. so it's not like you didn't know that it was going to happen.

10 lb walleye from the mad. not your everyday catch... and like other's have said: could of been a producer for sure. even though you say it was a male. it was a big male, that probably had amazing genes.

people don't reallise that we are the ones who will decide how our fishery will be in the future. conservation is the way to go. doesn't mean release everything you catch, i'll keep a feed of fish. it's just we need to conserve our resources.

anyways i just wanted to say couple things before it gets locked up.

i'm surprised i caught it before!! lol

Hey Katch.. your right.. we all have to do our part to help our fisheries.. Yes I did see the Quinte but this post was not a personal bashing but rather people ranting about conservation over a what I thought was a good report.

No harm done I just felt removing the picture and report was the right thing to do..

Too bad you took the pic and report down, I love hearing about double digit 'eyes. The "you should have released it" comment is a dead horse that certain individuals feel the need to bring up each time. If you have a license to fish and possess fish, who is anyone to judge you? Don't let the comments bother you Priorguy.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the picture but congratualtions to your brother for catching a trophy 8)

Don't let the negativity of some on the site get to you. It was a fairly caught fish and any decisions about how the fish was handled are governed by laws established by fish biologists responsible for managing the fishery. In this case the consensus by the real "Experts" are reflected in the regulations that say it was totally acceptable for your brother to keep that fish. I personally do not expect my personal viewpoints to govern your brother's or anyone elses deciison to fish in the legal manner of their choice. I will leave those decisions up to the professional experts who are managing the fishery :!:

Karma,

Thats a fantastic website you have there. I didn't relalize all the tools avaialble for individuals that are visually impaired. I also read your BIO and want to really congradualte you on your many challenges you were able to overcome.

If I ever meet you on the water I will certainly stop and shake your hand sir. I will be sure to keep you posted on our excursions.
