Would you believe it if I told you I was reading my
homework on the National CBC network?
It's true- I took creative and freelance writing courses for a couple of years at a nearby college.
I figured if I was going to do any writing, I wanted to be paid. S-o-o-o-o, I tailored all my homework assignments to two books I started on, with the intention of selling each chapter as I finished it.
Ended up making a few thousand selling my homework!

Outstanding in His Field. The piece I have in Chicken Soup for the Nature Lover's Soul (just released) was also a homework assignment (different book).
U.S. publishers pay better.
