How to fish Crotch Lake for Walleyes.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Delmar is his name, I will pm you his # as soon as i find it. It may be tough to get a cabin, we used to book a year in advance just to keep a cabin.

I'd love some hints about this never having fished Crotch..(yeah, I know that sounds bad). Should be hitting her for the May opener and aside from being an eye newbie, never even laid eyes on the lake, let alone fished her.

Any tips are appreciated. Not asking for honeyholes or such, just a bit of advice if possible.

Early season equation:
shallow = warm water
warm water = bait fish
warm water = new weed growth
new weed growth = bait fish
sand = warm water
sand = bait fish

bait fish = walleye

Have fun...and go hunt down some walleye.

Sheldon, I truly appreciate the neandrethal breakdown of the basics. Like I said, newbie eye hunter here and I've listened to you guys talking about planer boards and such with extreme confusion.

I appreciate ALL the helpful hints! I'll need'em! :lol:

So, I do honestly appreciate the breakdown.
