I found them to be deeper that I like to fish them and the bait fish weren't as full as I hoped . Being my first time for walleye there I can't complain with a PB

Hey Guy's, if you found Quinte a little slow on the weekend you were right. I had at least half a dozen phone calls from disgruntled walleye dudes and a couple of very knowledgeable guides to boot... don't feel bad ... it happens.
When you put that many boats on the water somebody always gets a bunch...it is simply an odds game at that point.
I have a very close friend who is a scary good walleye guy and he wanted us to come down on the weekend but we couldn't make it...he almost begged us as his bite was hot, and he was a bachelor all weekend to boot...from 8 fish on the worst day to 26 on his best.

Weekend total...two full days..5 fish...it does happen fear not it is just fishing.

Wow...so Matt accuses me of fishing deep and Big Jim says I got lucky...

Either way fellas...the group of anglers that I fish with have been on big walleye at Quinte for over a month....and are still on them big time...and yes....this weekend was slow....for what it's worth...7 for 8 was my worst day so far this fall....

And people wonder why people leave the internet fishing world...

Good Luck to all who head back down to Quinte...

Hey Matt, I'm pretty sure I saw you trolling by us. We got 2 that day. I've been down 3 weekends on a row now and trolled all day. We found it extremely slow to say the least. Guess you just need to unlock the secret.

Was there yesterday too. Slow bite...report on another post.

Seems the bite is slow ...unless you are a local and know the area.
Still some nice fish caught though..makes it worth while.

You sould have come over and paid me my $30 LOL ....just kidding ....good to hear you had some luck.
