Little Getaway - Several Pics

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Dartee wrote: We used to use stale bread some times but the small marshmallows were always fun. The sunfish and bluegill would grab them and try to swim away with 5 or 6 others hanging on, then a large bass or occasionally a pike would come along and settle the arguement.

oh to be a kid again...not!
Yeah, memories... ...I remember how the fish would nail the gobs of melting ice cream and swim away with clouds of it coming through their gills. Like vanilla and chocolate jet trails.

What's a Dartee look like? A spoon?

My brother was fined in Beijing China for spitting in the canals at the carp and a buddy was fined for tossing a cigarette on the ground.

Definately glad I'm not in Beijing.

Great report Wolfe, great pics as usual. Always nice to read your reports since you always take the time to snap a nature pic or five :)
Here's a pic of a watersnake or 6 that I took sunning themselves last year.

Can't wait to hit Wolfe lake after Pickerel opens this year. In uh. two and a half weeks? :) you couldn't knock the grin off my face right now

Norm, remind me not to launch gobs of ice cream off any bridges in Bejing.

However, gotta agree with the cigarette thing. It is littering, after all. Good thing they didn't run him down with a tank, though.

BigSim, now there's a pile of neighborly snakes, eh? Kpin's dream-come-true (nightmare).

Good luck at Wolfe for walleye. Please let me know how you do! (What spots are ya hitting up?)

BRAD?! Hello there!

We're well, thanks, for the most part. Lots of kiddie germs brought home from school this winter.

How are things in your neck of the woods? Getting out for some spring fishing??

Brad, you misinterpreted my: "BRAD?!" That was happy surprise at hearing from you, as I haven't in quite some time. I didn't forget ya, bud! I recall our conversations, including some fishing club you were joining, or had already joined. See? I recall your early spring excursions a year or so ago and that is why I asked. Believe you had connected with some trout and were pleased with that......

I have a crummy memory for some things, but usually not for folks "met".

Yes, I am a NY State gal. Not far from the Finger Lakes. Our house overlooks Otisco Lake, which is not actually a Finger Lake (oh the exclusion hurts! )..... We're look'g forward to getting out on our puddle for tiger muskies this spring. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So "BRAD!!" -- great to hear from you. Take care and don't wait around so long between posts. You wouldn't want to be forgotten.

Hey Wolfe,

Great story and report. Looks like all had a great time. There's nothing like getting out for a fish with the family.

Nice job.

Great stuff Wolfe!

Once the cottage is done, I'll hopefully inundate this place with photos of that sort...
