Markus's Year in Review

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Congratulations Markus on a very busy and productive fishing year.
Photos are fantastic and being great at targeting so many species of fish
and garnering some GREAT FISH
You are one of a very few elite anglers that can attest to what it takes to catch all these species.
If you are ever back in the Ottawa area let me know.

Great stuff, Marcus!! You certainly have all the species covered there...
(Next time you're in Ottawa, maybe we can get that 6lb bass crossed off your list!)
Good Fishing,
Justin

You had a great year, how does this year match up to your past years; more or less species covered?

That will be a busy day!

Seriousl though, it all comes down to time management. One thing that I did diferently this year was chose days with better conditions. In 04 I just went rain, wind or snow. This year, I made sure the conditions were better suited for the style of fishing I was doing. That made for less wasted time on the water and better results per trip.

05 compared to 04 was equal or better. No muskie like 04, but a lot more exploritory trips to parts unknown, like the Red River in MB and the Pink run with simon.

I hunt...heading out for some quackers right now. :P
Drove down to the lake and the 3-4 foot waves crashing on shore ruined any plans for a hunt. :?

Now I'm forced to work. :?

Way to go man!!

To be honest, you're a true inspiration for me! A fantastic and generous angler, who'll tell ya anything you wanna know, and throw in a laugh or two at the same time.

Next year I'm comin your way, guaranteed!!!!

My review wouldn't be complete with a tip of the hat to my 3 lovely ladies. Luckily, I have a family that loves to fish. Haillee is definately the keener of the two, but although Spencer doesn't enjoy fishing to the same extent as her older sister, there's no way she's gonna let her catch all the fish!

With out their support, I'd wouldn't get out half as much as I do now. :P

Awesome man!! ................catching such a wide variety of species takes some serious time and skill. Great to see that it paid off.

Congrats to Haillee and spencer too.....you definitely beat me

I love reading these year-in-reviews.........might do one but don't have enough pics....had 54 more but they got wiped at the photolab.
Getting a digi for xmas though :D

Congrats to markus and family for an awesome looking year!!

You had an excellent year Markus! Was a real pleasure getting out with you, I had a riot. The Tsumai seat and the ice hut rodeo are the most memorable  Now I'm building an ice hut  Next year I'll be working in sales  and where do I get one of those horse shoes? Good luck in 06!

:D :D :D

Awsome year Mark.... :D

You may have fallen a little short on some of your goals, :(

.....but there's a lot to be said for pure numbers too, .....
You got a "bunch" of fish for sure....

I do believe you did a lot more for advocating C & R this year, .....than in years past,
....and that's something to be proud of too.... :D

Good luck in your laker quest, ...and the coming year......
