Hot Muskie Bite tonight....

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Very nice fish guys.

Now that biologists don't reccomend the last shot, lets hope we see less of them. And it doesn't show the real size of the fish, but the horizontal hold shows a nice healthy BigO fish. This is a great example of how much better the horizontal hold shows the true size of the fish.

Getting the big ones casting is always more fun.

BTW you need more of a vertical hold to get the effect of making the fish look bigger on that hold. We've seen way to many from anglers that should know better.

I was just thinking this morning you can smell fall in the air. Had dreaming of muskies and Quinte Eyes.

Looks like the first part of that dream came true. Glad to see the muskie bite is picking up.

WTG boys.

Thanks for the kind words folks..it was a blast....

I did have to apologize to Gordo afterwards....I kinda yelled at him...  ...My netman was almost swimmin home...

TM, I'm not tryin to start something here....but...

Didn't those same biologists stress the fact that fish should not be removed from the water when its 80 plus degrees?...I seem to remember your "musky porn" thread in July breaking that suggestion from them...and noone called you out on it just congratulatory remarks.....just an observation....

Back at em tomorrow night!

I don't remember ever fishing in water temps over 80 degrees, maybe the back bays got that hot but that's not where I was fishing. We had temps around 77 in the morning and the surface temps may of goten close to 80 in late afternoon but right back at 77 the next am.

BTW a vertical hold in addition to the 10 seconds out of water makes it worse doesn't it? Vertical holds are bad 100% of the time no matter what the conditions are.

As well I did say it was a poor attempt at the semi vertical hold, I can point you to some terrible pictures.

Good luck out there and get another bigger one.
