Went to CardinaL for the evening waLleye bite.
Got there at 4:30.
Got my first waLLeye at 5:30. Shortly afterward Lost 2, and had 3 others hit.
To finish off I get this Lad.
34.5" of goLd power.

After I cast I set my rod down to pour a cup of coffee, when i reeled in the slack I felt weight, the end result was the Large carp.

The waLleye are stilL a bit spotty yet. You could Limit out in an hour, or five. once you find what their biting on the action can be reaL quick at times.once you figure the coLour and Lure your aLL set for a bit. Chart. or white seem to be the jig colours. For troLLing they seem to like the siL/blk or chart.
